January 8, 1990. Villavallelonga, Italy. This church is in the village that my great-grandfather came from in the late 19th century... circa 1890. It sits across the town square from the home of distant relatives.
"No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist." - Oscar Wilde
Most of the time, I take photos because I want to see what something will look like as a photograph. Other times, I just don't want to forget I saw it. And then there's the times I have no idea why I took that photo.
