Most of the time, I take photos because I want to see what something will look like as a photograph. Other times, I just don't want to forget I saw it. And then there's the times I have no idea why I took that photo.

One bird flying is enough
Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, September 2009. I took this on a recent retreat in Minnesota. Robert Bly, a poet, read a poem and one line was something like "one bird flying in the clouds is enough."
