Most of the time, I take photos because I want to see what something will look like as a photograph. Other times, I just don't want to forget I saw it. And then there's the times I have no idea why I took that photo.

Big crack in the ice
I took this photo for a college photography class I took in 1987. It is of the East River in Green Bay from the Baird Street Bridge.
